भारतीय टीम है ओवररेटेड- श्रीकांत
श्रीकांत ने भारतीय टीम को लेकर कहा कि इसमें कोई आशंका नहीं है कि भारत एक मजबूत टीम है, लेकिन भारत को टी20 और टेस्ट में ओवररेट किया गया है। भारतीय टीम टी20 और टेस्ट में उतनी मजबूत टीम नहीं है, जितना बताया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय टीम का दौर तब था, जब विराट कोहली टेस्ट टीम के कप्तान थे। विराट कोहली की कप्तानी में भारतीय टीम ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया में जाकर टेस्ट सीरीज जीती, इसके अलावा भारत को इंग्लैंड में भी विजयी मिली। यह सब विराट कोहली की कप्तानी के दौरान हुआ था। कोहली की कप्तानी में साउथ अफ्रीका में भारत ने संघर्ष किया था, लेकिन अब सेंचुरियन टेस्ट में भारत को करारी हार मिली है। इससे साफ है कि श्रीकांत रोहित की कप्तानी पर सवाल उठा रहे हैं।
‘रैंकिंग से ऊपर उठने की जरूरत’
श्रीकांत ने कहा कि आईसीसी रैंकिंग में भारत का दबदबा रहा है। पिछले 3-4 सालों में भारत आईसीसी रैंकिंग में हमेशा से नंबर वन या नंबर दो पर कायम रहा है, लेकिन हमें इन रैंकिग से ऊपर उठने की जरूरत है। अगर भारत आईसीसी रैंकिंग में नंबर वन है, इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि हम बहुत अच्छी टीम हो गए, अच्छी टीम बनने के लिए हमें रैंकिंग से ऊपर उठने की जरूरत है। श्रीकांत ने कहा कि हालांकि भारतीय टीम विश्व टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप में दोनों बार फाइनल खेला है, लेकिन एक बार भी जीत नहीं पाया है।
